Dental services

It is necessary to reinstate dental services for people experiencing pain. It is unbelievable that there should be no proper treatment available. Extraction only as last resort is not what should be happening. Dentists should be able to have the Required PPE and See patients again.

Why the contribution is important

To leave people in pain with no prospect of treatment to relieve is contributing to significant mental health problems.

Yes I feel this is important now as mouth hygiene can lead to other problems, undetected cancer. I do feel with the appropriate ppe dentists could could start to reopen even if limited appts and hours. There is going to be a huge backlog and for some unaffordable treatment.

Dentists have routinely worn gloves and masks since HIV became an issue. They can surely equip themselves adequately to perform routine procedures.

    I agree 100%.
My understanding is that our dental services are part and parcel of our NHS. If our dentists and dental nurses are provided with PPE why should they not be able to provide treatment to their patients?

with adequate PPE there is no reason for dental services not to resume. If supermarkets and village stores can adapt so can dental services.
