Dentists, Podiatrists & Optometrists - aspects of health we all need to prioritise.

Dentistry, Podiatry, Optometry.
These health services should be & need to be prioritised over the aesthetic treatment services of a hair and/or beauty salon.

Why the contribution is important

Too many people are asking about hair & beauty salons, etc.. but if the above HEALTH services cannot reopen safely then i fail to see how/why an aesthetic treatment service could or should.

These services are NOT forced to close they have chosen to close so no change needed to restrictions, just willingness for those who work in them to choose to work in close proximity to clients.

This comment is incorrect cj2000bb. Dentists were forced to close down as per Scottish government and Scottish Chief Dental Officer’s instructions!

Well the legislation DOES NOT force them to close.
Schedule 1, Part 3 of the legislation covers businesses which can remain open
    37. Dental services, opticians, audiology services, chiropody services, chiropractors, osteopaths and other medical or health services, including services relating to mental health.

Yes these would all be difficult to manage but the Scottish Government chose to include them in Part 3. The advice to close is therefore advice since cant be forced without legislation.
I would say most poeple would probably avoid even if they were open.
