Driving Instructors

If both Driving Instructors and pupils wore face masks and gloves and wore long sleeved tops, and obviously cleaning all surfaces and hands after each lesson, could they return to work June/July ?

Why the contribution is important

Driving instructors are self employed and although hopefully will get The self employment help from government, they need to know how stable their future finances will be.

My daughter is a key worker and we have to drive her to work as her driving test was postponed until July - we still do not know if she will be allowed to sit it then and if she will be able to have a few lessons in the city where the test centre is located (we live ca. 20 miles away so have been unable to actually take her there to practice as non essential travel). Perhaps driving instruction/tests could initially be opened up to key workers and expanded if successful?

Spending an hour in a small space with someone - risky.
Spending several hours every day in a small space, each with a different person - very risky.
Several people every day sharing contact surfaces on seat, controls, door handles etc - very risky.

    This will have to wait!

I fully support the idea, with correct masking and precautions.
