Each year group in school for a week, on rotation

Very uncomfortable about returning before August at the earliest

A mix of in class / remote learning seems to be the most realistic option. Would this 3 week rota be feasible?

Week 1 - S1 & S2 in school

Week 2 - S3 & S4 in school

Week 3 - S5 & S6 in school

When not in school, children learn remotely

Unrealistic to expect teachers to teach full time AND also provide online material. Might need to recruit additional teaching staff, encourage retired staff to come back etc

Why the contribution is important

School can be cleaned thoroughly between each year group

Children spend some time in school, good for their mental health & opportunity to monitor their progress and well-being

Easier to practise social distancing with fewer pupils

Vulnerable / shielding staff, or teachers with caring responsibilities could still do the online learning, even if they can't teach in class

I agree that a good idea is children returning to school with a combination of time at school in reduced numbers , and online learning .

If only 1/3 of the pupils were in school at one time, teachers would be teaching 1/3 of their timetable, so providing online resources for the other 2/3 would not be an issue. They would be able to provide online conferencing facilities for the pupils.

I think we have to ensure all pupils have ICT too

Please consider families with working parents if a rota is used. Make sure that siblings are in school on the same day.
