Early infection

Could we gather data on who might have had this virus in Scitland in late December/early January. It has been officially recognised in France as being there at this time. On my daily walks I have met 2 other people besides myself who think they have. Symptoms such as cough, conjunctivitis, difficulty breathing, fatigue, digestive symptoms. All in the period before it was known to be here.
An online questionnaire similar to this would be easy to set up

Why the contribution is important

It will allow understanding of the disease to better form policies to combat spread

The sooner we have the Covid antibody test it would give a better idea of the countrys population position with the virus and give clear indications as to when lockdown lifted.

I agree. With hindsight my wife and I are 90 per cent sure we had Covid-19 with infection occurring around mid-December. It looks like research into possible early cases is beginning now.

Not wanting to blame governments, they had to base decisions on the information they had at the time. But if it turns out the virus arrived much earlier and is far more wide-spread than assumed previously, then I hope the uncomfortable truth can be faced and policies revised accordingly.
