End lochdown now to save the economy. This has gone on long enough and it is time to get back to work. We cannot afford to be idle and to build up enormous debts

Why the contribution is important

Because the lockdown is costing a lot of money and not achieving any purpose

    Agree, let people work, safely, who are able. But continue to shield and protect our more vulnerable.

    I agree. The country has lost its sense of proportion! As of 7 May 2020 the number of deaths from Corona Virus sadly was 1762. This is out a a population of 5,450,000. It is 0.03% of the population!

    The latest figures from the National Records of Scotland for the 3 month period 1 October to 31 December 2019: Deaths from Cancer 4,310 (up* 4.4%)
    ; respiratory disease 1,812 (up* 3.3%); Dementia and Alheimer's 1798 (up* 15%); coronary heart disease 1690 (down* 3.6%) and from cerebrovascular disease 1055 (up* 1.9%)

    In my view I supported the Government in the first three weeks. The NHS has been so run down that it couldn't cope. I could even put up with it the next three weeks.

      You have now lost all my support! The damage that this is doing to the country is out of proportion and the `cure` and will have much longer lasting and damaging consequences of mental health and loss of jobs etc. The education of the young people which was already going downhill will be greatly affected. Time to stop all of this fear and irrationality.

    The originator of this post has obviously not lost any family to coronavirus. If they had I suspect they would have a very different point of view. Ending restrictions should only happen when it is safe to do so.
