To have office staff - where employees have demonstrated that their role can be performed in a home working environment - continue to work from home until the closing stages of the covid response effort
Why the contribution is important
A mass influx of staff working from home at present reintroduces an unnecessary transmission vector. Particularly in the communications sector, the modern contact centre makes it impossible to work at an acceptable social distance
Staff who are currently working from home should be encouraged to continue in this manner until later in the covid response effort, and should have this option, legally protected and without fear or favour in order to best protect public health, while ensuring the sector is still able to operate.
