    Just because a component in your supply chain is critical doesnt mean you should do it inhouse.

    If country X makes the best PPE around because they have the best trained staff and equipment. And we cannot make better PPE than country X even if we were spending a huge amount more. Lets just buy the best stuff available from country X.

    This supply should then be managed well with sufficient buffer stocks available

    Even if it is just to supplement the imported ppe as per the pevious comment it is surely worthwhile. It would have the knock on effect of supporting our local businesses and the wider economy.
