Exercise for shielded

Allow those in shielded group who are able to exercise

Why the contribution is important

It's a human right. There is assumption that we are all gravely ill and bed ridden. This inactivity is causing weight gain, leading to more health problems.
If people in shielded group followed social distancing measures. Those that are too I'll would have the right to choose to stay at home.

I agree I am currently shielding and it is so upsetting that we do not get out at all .Think shielding patients should be given a choice

Totally agree. I'm also shielding and have gone from going out every day pre covid to not going out at all

I also agree that those shielding should be allowed to go out as long as they are sensible and observe all social distancing advice. Many of those shielding have underlying health conditions but are not ‘ill’ and prior to having to shield led ‘normal’ lives. Many are also ‘not old’. I take immunosuppressants so I know I have to be careful - I wouldn’t want to go into a busy supermarket but would happily go for a walk where there are no other people. Living in a semi rural area this is possible - it’s just a matter of assessing the level of risk to oneself.
