Family contact

Allow family members to meet up in some arrangement to minimise risk. A bubble of close family should be allowed to meet up .

Why the contribution is important

Not seeing close family is contributing to mental health problems. Family contact is needed to provide help and support.

If we are to be allowed a social bubble we’ll need clarity as to exactly how this would work. With family who are key workers would their colleagues need to be part of their bubble? How would it work when family are not local and you couldn’t see family members on a daily or weekly basis but obviously would want to meet up or visit for a weekend from time to time?

Family social bubbles would be good if strict & clear guidelines were laid out care for the elderly would have to be looked at. How far could you travel as my family don't live close to us.

Meeting with close family is very important to the mental wellbeing to all concerned. It is particularly important to grandparents who feel estranged from their grandchildren. Surely some consideration be given to permitting close family visits where there is a very close geographical distance and also within a relatively safe NHS area.

I live many miles from my nearest family - but it is possible to get there in one day. It is important for all generations to see each other - I would love to visit them am happy to continue self isolation before I go and on returning to my home I would willingly self isolate for a further 14 days.
