Family first

Ideally this lockdown can’t end until we have the trace and isolate method in place. However I think it’s time to let families see each other. It would ease tensions building within households and would stop the clandestine travel if people to say a relatives house, where they then decide to go elsewhere after such as Tesco because they are already out. We’re starting to see this with the infamous Costa queue.

Why the contribution is important

This idea is important as it will raise moral in the general public and enable an easing of tensions.

    Our over 70s who live alone and are fit and healthy are enduring unnecessary isolation.

    Consideration needs to be given to those that have family members working and not isolating. I don't particularly want family that are exposed to risk to be allowed to visit vulnerable family members. I think this needs to be clear.

    I think getting people back to work is more important. If you've not seen family for 2 months a few more weeks won't make much difference, However, a few weeks could be the difference between a business surviving or losing with the loss of jobs. This would do more long term damage.
