Fast-track parking on pavements legislation

Pavement parking is due to become illegal as part of the Transport (Scotland) Bill in 2021. Bring this forward to allow the full width of pavements to be used by pedestrians to enable social distancing.

Why the contribution is important

Social distancing is likely to continue for some considerable time. Enabling this legislation now will make this easier for pedestrians and at the same time promote active travel and lifestyles.

Great idea I have noticed a lot of pavement parking whilst I’ve been going out on my daily walk good job the road aren’t busy at the moment.

This legislation needs brought forward as a matter of urgency.

A very good idea! Like flowers1888 we've been having to use the road just to make forward progress in areas of Glasgow due to cars parked on the pavements. Heaven help those with prams or using wheelchairs.
