Fishing / hillwalking / wild camping

Ease the lockdown for fishing/hillwalking/wildcamping If performed with own house hold is unlikely to pose risk in our in unpopulated countryside.when fishing /hillwalking you can easily stay away from other people! would be good for mental health.

    These are all social distancing activities so could start back up.

    Great for both physical and mental well-being. Social distancing can be observed in the vast majority of hills with possibly a few exceptions due to popularity- Ben Nevis/Ben Lomond for example.

    Hill walking and camping tend to be done solitary or in very small groups. As long as social distancing, which is very easy in remote locations, and small groups are confined to family members only, I see a low risk in these activities for spreading the virus. Easing restrictions on these type of activities would certainly help with Mental Health and Well Being of participants. The key control would be restrict to individuals or small groups consisting of family members only.

    I'd love to go hillwalking and wild camping again, but clear regulations should be set out of how far you're allowed to drive. What would the impact be for emergency services and local communities if something happens (not COVID-19 related) when you're far away?

    Agree this fishing and hill walking would be great. However only travelling a set distance would have to be included.

    The most important thing is to have a N99 type mask to wear in close procimity so in the event you get injuried and have to be medivac out you not risking your rescuers....
