Flexibility in return to normal alongside health and wellbeing

I think that however we decide to return to normal life we need to offer flexibility to parents, workers and everyone, there cannot just be one plan in place and that is it.

Vulnerable children, families and communities will need much more support and will find the return to a more normal work life balance very challenging. How do we ensure as a society that there will be the flexibility present to reduce the impact of further change on these families and communities?

Associated with this flexibility is the care and concern for every individual's health and well being. From grandparents who have missed the love and hugs that only a grandchild can give, to our amazing medical staff who have put their lives on the line every single day, to parents who may have had to play the role of employee, teacher, mum / dad and spouse all in a single minute. We must factor the nation's health and well being in to any return to normal in what is a once in a century experience for us all.

Why the contribution is important

This idea is important because in the cold, hard practicalities of returning to a more normal society the emotional well being can be overlooked whether intentionally or unintentionally.
