Flying

All passenger air travel should be banned except for repatriation / humanitarian flights.
Flights are not conducive to social distancing, and circulated air is a threat to all passengers irrespective of how far they sit apart from neighbours.
Recent TV news footage has shown domestic flights at high capacity due to their being fewer available flights. But there can be no justification for flying during lockdown unless medical reason or if you are stranded outside your home country. ...... AND in these situations virus tests and 14 day quarantine should be enforced. (so no domestic flights except for medical treatment cases). Only possible exception which should be considered is flights to offshore installations where there is a safety requirement, otherwise all other non essential off shore personnel should be restricted too.

Why the contribution is important

For the safety of air crew and passengers and to stop the spread of the virus

I agree that all but absolutely essential air travel should be banned at present.

Great, I’ve not seen my husband for 5 months, for him to work this would mean myself and the kids don’t see him indefinitely.

For him to Come to this country there is a greater risk he will catch it from the UK than from where he is.
He’s not in the scenario of an offshore installation scenario but essential personnel.

Masks and eye protection plus gloves on the plane should be required and would stop the spread. The quarantining for 2 weeks when arriving in the country after temperature checks and ideally a test for all entering would solve this.

    However agree all the people
Who are currently planning to book holidays.....

There should be no flights without proper quarantine requirements.
