Follow New Zealand's Example

Continue with all current lockdown measures unless absolutely certain they won't increase the spread of the virus. Sometimes the idea not to change anything is the right one. New Zealand has show the virus can be completely eradicated if the lockdown measures stay in place until case numbers are incredibly small. We could completely eradicated the virus here if we just keep on going.

Most people will be finding lockdown so very hard in so many ways. It is hard, it is ok to be struggling but the People of Scotland are stronger than they know. They can endure more of this if they are given the opportunity even if they don't feel like they can sometimes. Once it is eradicated everyone could look back and be so proud of what they did, the strength they showed and the lives they saved.

Why the contribution is important

This is the only way the virus can be stopped in Scotland while there is no vaccine.

    Too late. Jacinda Arden "Hit hard, and hit early.", like an All Blacks back row; that's what made NZ's approach so effective. Human nature being what it is and the economy sinking without trace says that it's pretty much back to the old normal within a couple of months, and Johnson/Sturgeon will be seen to have blown it.

    We can't do what Jacinda did because Johnson much did too little much too late. But we can make sure the lockdown isn't eased too early causing a massive second wave. I hope Nicola can stand up to the pressure of Westminster authoritarians who always put money before humans.

    Unless the whole world does this it won't work. The infection just gets back in. We need to learn to live tolerable lives with the virus and accept tolerable risk to do so. Millions of people die from smoking or alcohol or even poor diets. Are we going to ban eating?? We need some perspective here.

    Not only did New Zealand lock down early but they did massive amount of testing - that is what will get people safely and confidently being able to move around again.
