Generate more job capacity
There will inevitably be more unemployment going forward with enormous costs, financial and in every other way.
REDUCE the retirement age to 65 immediately.
This will create thousands of vacancies overnight. The Costs of paying retirees aged 65 and 66 will be more than covered by income tax gained and unemployment costs saved by employing younger people who need and can do these jobs.....
Many older people can start their private pensions now!
It makes common sense.... please consider the maths!!
Thanks v much. Paul.

Why the contribution is important
Get people to kick off their private pensions and retire early to create more jobs for those that will need them.

Paying for someone at age 65 to retire (should they choose to) is far better than paying someone at age 25 to be unemployed and without future prospects. Back in the 1980s there was almost an acceptance that some people would never work once they were stuck in the benefits trap.
Another group who will be badly affected are the older unemployed who do not claim benefits they are all but invisible. A combination of lack of jobs and age discrimination mean that this group also need help.
While the immediate concerns of the government will be controlling the virus the effects of unemployment have adverse impacts as well so planning needs to start now.
