Going out for a motorbike ride

What is wrong with going out for a short motorbike ride in my local area. I feel I am not doing any harm as I am basically self isolating on my bike and enjoying the weather and and local scenery.

Why the contribution is important

It is crucial for my mental health as it is one of my main hobby’s.

Think this is another real problem the government has not addressed stay in doors save live protect the nhs yes agree but you forgot to say what about the poor person living on there own in a flat no garden who as some a motor bike or car might be there only way to relax and release the four wall stress or a flatted environment

It is unnecessary and endangering me when I'm out walking. It is pumping out toxic fumes. It is a waste of energy. It is a waste of time and money and resources that could be put to better use.

Have you ever thought about getting a pedal bike? You can still enjoy the weather and local scenery. You'll not be contributing to global pollution and you'll be travelling at a speed which will be less of a danger to me.

I live in a flat and dont have much of a garden. Cars and motorbikes are dangerous, speeding piles of metal and should never be seen as a way to relax. From the moment you get behind the wheel you should see yourself as being responsible for a dangerous weapon that could kill with the slightest touch.

Great idea - a sport and hobby that is well suited to social distancing.

I have no objection to folk going for a motorbike ride in isolation. What I do object to is the extreme revving/speed/engine noise as they exit a country village and belt along the country roads - hardly scenery-watching.
If everyone follows social and road rules and considers the impacts of their actions on others then we should all be able to enjoy our chosen activities within government guidelines.

Great idea and would love to get out for a turn on my bike but I fear that some would take liberties both in distance and I fear speed . What I would abvocate is the ecourgaement to use motocycles to get to work on the return. Many people will be put off using crowded public transport and opt for cars greatly increasing conjestion. Cycles are not the answer for everyone because of distance and/or phsuical ability.
Motorcyles contribute little to conjection and allow you to self isolate very well. Every enouragement should be given to encourage use, including increasing parking bays where needed and opening up all bus lanes that have not already been opened to motocycles as in the more enlightened cities

Motorcycling is ideal for social distancing. It can also support small fuel stations in rural areas.
It has positive health benefits for the rider. Unfortunately people who don't have motorcycling in their blood with may not understand this.
In summary, as long as the rider is riding sensibly and legally I believe they should be allowed out on their bike.

Don’t see any issue with this directly in connection with CV19. Any comment regarding irresponsible bikers are not in my view relevant to the argument. That’s something for a later date. Allow the use of motorbikes it doesn’t have any effect on the spread of CV19.

My motorbike is how I destress and relax. Nice scenery and a clear head because you need to focus on the road ahead. Even if we were limited to 30 mile radius of home address it would be something. A solo ride
