No reason why golf courses cannot be reopened with members only, 1 or 2 ball (with a family member or same person each time). Leave flag in and bunkers out of play

I agree that Golf courses should be allowed to be reopened for play with certain restrictions. Would be a great help in alleviating mental stress and great exercise.

Limit required on the distance a golfer may travel to play, before opening courses. Or open courses only when all travel restrictions are finished

Easily the best way to exercise physically and mentally. Perfectly suited to social distancing and controlling sizes of groups. Also suits all ages, sexes and mobilities. MOST CLUBS NOW HAVE DIGITAL BOOKING TO LIMIT PARTICIPANTS. Members only booking can also control numbers.

Constraints are supposed to reduce the rate of spread of the virus not to be merely punitive. How hitting a ball on your walk is deemed more threatening than walking isn’t clear to me. I don’t play Golf but I would consider it exercise and therefore participation would not be an offence under the act. Just a shame the Golf courses have been forced to close.

Golf is an easy exercise to social distance and very frustrating we are closed when there are queues to get into DIY stores

Great for exercise and easy to maintain social distance. Keeping clubs close seems pointless when there are so many benefits and few risks.

    Yes to golf
    Online booking
    1 household per tee time
    Tee time 10 minutes apart
Limit to users within immediate vacinity of 1 mile of the golf course.

Social golf is a large part of people’s life in Scotland, especially retired folk. Two people at a time would be less risky than going to the supermarket. Local club only.

Great to get golf going again and very easy to accommodate social distancing however the challenge is getting our golf course back for golfers. Many golf courses are being treated like open parks, kids building sandcastles and adults having picnics in bunkers, cyclists all over the fairways and greens, greens being used as football pitches and dozens of dogs running off the leash. How do we get our courses back for golfers ?

Golf courses are a valuable open area that should be available for all Scots to safely exercise on rather than a few golfers. This particular applies to Links courses as at high tide there is little elsewhere to exercise on unless travel by car is reintroduced. At this time, golf courses should be prepared to share their space with all.

Social distancing is easy on a colf course. And a good form of exercise

Golf clubs are becoming under greater threat by the week.

The average golfer pays £100s to maintain their course each year and if there is no value to be had many will not renew and cause the failure of Scotland’s national game and threaten tourism and catering who support it.

2 players per tee time is also unnecessary within a club setting of experienced players and puts a strain on businesses who have already lost 1/3 of their season.

Get people out of shops and off their sofas and on to golf courses!

Playing golf should be an easy decision. Social distancing can easily be maintained even with Fourballs.
It must be safer than hundreds of people queuing all together at the Supermarkets or DIY Stores !
