Golf courses should be open

Why are golf courses not open?- it is the safest form of exercise and is good for physical/mental health. I don’t play golf myself but my husband and son enjoy it and cannot understand why the Scottish government are not opening the golf courses in a safe socially distanced way.

Why the contribution is important

As above

I disagree. Local golf courses have opened up to the public so we can enjoy a much nicer walk. Opening up these clubs to their members will curtail a much needed recreational walk.

Golf courses should be open, members pay for the upkeep of the course, that's why they look in pristine condition, not to let loads of people onto them to cycle and walk, wonder what damage that would do to them, seriously NOT a good idea, we get moaned at wanting to enjoy these open spaces we pay to be maintained and some people think it should be a free for all for others to destroy it

Golf courses should be opened for members with restrictions obviously on social distance and other rules eg no touching of flagstick, use club or feet to smooth sand in bunker , other recommendations by Scottish Golf., club house locker rooms do not need to be open maybe toilets restricted . Tee time bookings can be done by internet also and limit number of players.

How is it that people are allowed to walk all over golf courses for exercise but are not allowed to play golf? One of the madder restrictions.
