Golf for all is safe!

People think golf is reserved for the rich - simply not the case and people from all backgrounds play it. Golf is safer than all the exercising you currently see where cyclists and runners are barging past walkers exhaling large volumes of breath over extensive areas. So double standards and the FM will lose the dressing room if this is not acknowledged.

Why the contribution is important

Golf is the main form of exercise for hundreds and thousands of Brits and, if the social distancing rules which are already established are followed, is completely safe!

Completely agree. Since I can walk round the golf course as exercise, it is illogical that I can't play golf. The only proviso being the flag-stick left in and the hole blocked off, so there is no chance of contamination from touching. We golfers could play to the green and give ourselves 2 putts if on it, or one putt if less than a club-length away from the hole. We are all adults and social distancing a given.

There is much more risk going round B&Q than playing golf. Courses should be opened , we are adults and able to socially distance while playing .

I am not a golfer. But I do agree, social distancing should work way better on a golf course than in a supermarket.

Not a golfer either, however agree much safer than supermarket or dodging while walking outside. Physical health suffering on huge scale and will last much longer than this pandemic.
