Grandchildren

Allowing people to see there grandchildren, obviously with social distancing still in place. Its important as people who are used to this especially in the older age groups consider it a major part of there life and retirement.

Why the contribution is important

For people's well being and there mental health.

    I agree. Not being able to hug my grandchildren is breaking my heart

    Yes! Please this would be so good. Especially if the grandparent live alone.

    My one reservation is the safety of this - for both sides of the family. If the child's parents are key workers in a hospital, is the danger of asymptomatic passing on of the virus either way going to be a greater risk?

    Lockdown would be more sustainable if we could reach out to close family. Not all grandparents - or people generally - have technology which allows for video calls and so they risk extreme isolation.

    this is a must for the children as well as the grand parents. when you have been in their lives daily taking them to school and nursery to now not being able to see or hug them is heart breaking. am not an old grandparent and have no known health conditions so this is very hard.
