Hairdressers

If a hairdresser would like to open then they should follow the following guidelines to ensure that both staff and clientele are kept safe

1. They should only have 1 client at a time. At the moment some hairdressers can have overlapping clients, this would need to stop until the virus is under control.

2. There is hand sanitiser as you walk in and at every seat

3. Both the Hairdresser & Client wear masks

4. They get rid of all magazines as they could help spread the virus

5. There is a gown for each client which is then not used again until it is washed

6. All areas a cleaned before and after each client

7. Barbicide is used to clean all equipment like scissors

I am sure that there are other ideas out there too so please add any you can think of.

Why the contribution is important

It is important because it can be the only social interaction someone gets in a week. I love going to the hairdressers because it is a way for me to cheer myself up and not all people who have mental health don't leave the house. In fact the Lockdown has affected my MH because I need to get out and about to do things to keep myself from becoming depressed and the hour exercise isn't sufficient however I have been sticking to it and the guidelines.

It also allows those hairdressers who want to reopen especially those ones who do not meet the criteria to receive help from the Government.

I think with the above measures then it will allow hairdressers to re open safely if they want to.
