Hairdressers reopen safely

If like in other countries the hairdresser and client wore masks and no hair dying just leave salon with wet hair that would work

Why the contribution is important

Feeling so bad in lockdown this would give everyone a much needed boost to their wellbeing

    I hope to see the reopening of beauty salons and hairdressers early on during the phased removal of lockdown. I think they are vital for people including a massive improvement in mental health and morale and this lockdown has highlighted how undervalued beauticians and hairdressers were. PPE is essential but if someone small businesses would like to open soon they should have the ability to do so and offer the treatments they are comfortable to offer.

    I don't think it is important right now. People being allowed to re integrate with their families is the most important thing right now.

    Arrive in time for your appoint with hair already washed: no sitting around; no tea/coffee; cut or colour only; definitely no hairdryers. Customer and stylist MUST wear PPE.

    There seems to be a lot of threads asking for hairdressers/ beauticians and nail bars to re-open.
    Social distancing is one of the key measures to stop the spread of the virus and, as such, will be with us for a good while yet. I can't see how you can maintain a 2m gap (with or without PPE) and undertake the work suggested.
    California have now confirmed that their initial spread of the virus came from a nail bar. Says it all really.

    It's very important mentally, especially to the old folks. Obviously needs to be done safely but should be possible, with some tweaks, as we can see in other countries.
