Help to keep the Attainment Gap as narrow as possible
I'm concerned about children and young people who have not had the resources, motivation or family support to persevere with 'home-schooling' during this period. Many in this cohort will already have been identified for additional support with their personal attainment gaps. With every week that they miss school, each child's personal gap will, potentially, widen. In addition, there may be students, who may have previously been on the brink, but not yet identified, who will start to fall behind even further when school resumes.
As an ex-secondary school Maths teacher who specialised in working with care-experienced students and students with special needs, I would love to be able to help out, when it is safe to do so.

Why the contribution is important
So much effort has been put into closing the Attainment Gap over recent years, and it will be awful for this to slide backwards, because of the this temporal gap in students' education.
