Hospital Attendance For Non Covid Patients

Requirement to start again (in a segregated area/s) the treatment for non covid patients who's appointments/treatments have been delayed indefinetly re the corona virus.

Why the contribution is important

Dangerous to leave any of the general public struggling at home who would benefit from operations/scans/treatment, when it should be possible to allow attendance in a screened area of the hospital.

Some patients are dying, and other ones with less pressing symptoms are experiencing a deterioration in their condition which will probably make their problems worse. This will in the long run be more expensive for the NHS

We have a situation where I can queue up at B&Q in a safe and socially distanced manner, but my father cannot get surgery for his cancer diagnosis. I'm rather at a loss to be honest. The NHS situation is such that they have not been overwhelmed, were primed and have a glut of staff presently who are being under utilised. I think that a slow start-up in a sensible and socially distanced manner could start to ease tension for those individuals and families affected.
If the situation is allowed to go on - we will lose more headcount to non-covid19 illnesses that have gone untreated than we have to covid19. Our death toll stands at 1847 today from covid19 in Scotland. How many people who are missing treatment due to this virus will be allowed to die instead?
