Inner city 10 mph traffic restriction

Restrict all NON EMERGENCY vehicle traffic to 10 mph until return to some normality.

Why the contribution is important

The reduced speed would make any overspill from pavements (as a result of social distancing) safer and might deter some from "social car outings"

Interesting idea which I hadn’t considered but could assist the safety of pedestrians - town centres in particular a challenge as are cycle tracks as there is not 2 metre width available.

Lets not make the return to some sort of new normality even more difficult. Many of our fellow citizens will be fighting and drowning trying to keep their jobs and homes. Now is not the time to try to slip this type of societal change in by the back door.

Great idea! Let’s reintroduce red flags to be carried in front of all motor vehicles too. Bring back the 19th century!

I like this idea as it would deter drivers who are not making essential journeys and encourage more families to take up walking and cycling which is good for physical and mental health.

I assume cyclists would be likewise restricted to 10mph and also to observe social distancing.
