Innovative PPE for all

We managed to send a man to the moon. Challenge to world's technologists .. invent a simple one piece hood that cover head and shoulders with clear visor and some kind of filter not directly in contact with mouth and nose to filter breath. This would stop spread significantly from breath and stop you touching face. Also invent some gloves that retain a soapy solution that destroys virus. These are not Hi-Tech and could be cheap and simple to mass produce. Effectively we are currently on another planet and may need to look like astronauts for a while.

Why the contribution is important

This would enable a significant resumption of normal life ..Instead of stay at home .. phrase would be wear your hood & gloves.

    Medical grade disposable masks are not necessary outwith high risk situations such as a care home/hospital, if everyone wears one. People can create a mask themselves out of a sock using a pair of scissors, seen it on Gogglebox the other week.

    Complete PPE has got to be the answer for workers and people using public transportation.
    We are such a long way from any safe anti COVID19 inoculation. Where as the technology is out there for workers working in poisonous environments. COVID19 is mostly entering through mouth, nose and eyes. So the head must be completely protected.
    A complete visor/ mask needs an air supply, to keep the visor clear, or it mists up in a few seconds. Visors also need to be re-useable, with only the filter, being replaced. Such filter cartridges are available now.
    During the last war the government managed to produce gas masks for everyone.
    COVID19 is as dangerous as Mustard Gas , only it is going to be around for many years.
