Keep hairdressers closed until it is safe to do so

Hairdressers/ beauticians have jobs which very close contact is needed and should not be opened until it is safe to do so

Why the contribution is important

My idea is important because the hair and beauty industry is a very high risk group as the amount of close contact is inevitable I think you should follow Ireland in there plan for this industry to return last. When social distancing is relaxed and it is safe to be in close proximity

    I disagree hairdresser and beauty salons can have a one to one interactions and they can ensure the hygiene of their customers and their own hygiene too. The only dilemma would be a blow dry which the customer could do and then the hairdresser could finish off by straightening. Bleach kills, straightening would kill germs also and the scissors are all disinfected after every customer. The hygiene would be easy to get right and the hairdresser would only have one customer at any one time

    They have opened up in Germany, using hand cleaning on entry, SD, face masks for customers and barbers. Seating sanitised
    Makes sense to me

    Hairdressers can themselves wear masks and limit clients and have strict cleaning procedures in between each client, they should be able to return if they so wish and when they feel safe to do so!

    they should be allowed to open. it's perfectly possible for them to manage their salons safely.

    I need a hair cut and need my roots dying but this is not an essential service and you get very close to the hairdresser. Should not be allowed to open until much further down the line

    I disagree other countries have reopened salons new procedures will have to be introduced whenever they reopen

    I agree.
    I think it would be very dangerous to open hairdressers. If the hairdresser gets the virus, then all their clients get it and they pass it on.

    I disagree. It would improve my mental health living with my wife, she’s always wishing they would open, like many more females.
