Learn from other countries

Investigate and adopt proven best practice policies to minimise the impact of Covid-19 here in Scotland. Shield those most at risk but don’t let fear get in the way of talking steps, however small, to get some normality back e.g. to reinforce that social distancing is to be maintained for the foreseeable future, let families meet up in controlled circumstances, open up activities such as golf (but not club houses) where distancing is normal and shops/ businesses where distancing can be achieved.

Why the contribution is important

For mental well being as well as showing light at the end of this nightmarish tunnel.

We should monitor how other countries are coming out of lock down and learn from them. We should not rush into anything, baby steps all the way.

Other island nations managed to use their geography to contain it, it's mind boggling that the UK didn't bolt down boarders when it started spreading in Spain. It's proven effective.

Yes that's something we seem to be too proud to do we still think we are a great country that leads the way we can learn from anyone and should not be lead by a west minster gov that still think they are some great leader in the world and they know better than every one else nearly as bad as DONALD

We should obviously look at how other countries are gradually coming out of lockdown and how they are making people aware of their proposals. The Scottish Govt will hopefully be preparing for this and I would ask them to look at the RoadMap produced by the Tasmanian Govt. This actually makes one aware of timescales, etc. and, in my opinion, using a RoadMap of this type for Scotland would give a true reflection on how long it will take Scotland to get back to “normal “ or the “new normal” - certainly not in days/weeks but in many many months!!! We have to be made aware and accept that life will not return to “normal “ for a long time.
