Limit the distance we can travel

When the lockdown is first lifted only allow us to travel 50 miles from home and back in a day, with people in your household. No overnight stops for campervans, caravans etc. This will stop people travelling to remote areas and potentially bringing the virus.

Why the contribution is important

It gives people a bit more freedom. Family’s can go out for the day and will allow children to enjoy some of the summer.

We need a sensible first step in giving us a bit more freedom to do outdoor activities that are low risk of spreading the virus. There are plenty of good ideas already suggested.

We would need to be allowed to travel to do those activities, so placing a limit on distance of say 50 miles as suggested would be a reasonable way to ensure people act sensibly and don't go travelling too far.

It would then be easy yo increase the distance limit as things get better.

50 miles might be a bit too much, though. But 25 or 30, yes.

No good. Creates divisions. What if you're at 31 miles? And how about Argyll? Road distance or crow-fly or by water?

In response to only travelling 50 miles from home address. That is rubbish I am a key worker and I have to drive 60 miles just to get to work.
