Limited return for secondary
We live in a remote area so lucky in many ways and our local secondary school is comparatively small . I believe there might be scope to let pupils back to school - perhaps gradually, say 2 (shorter) days a week before the summer holidays so they can take part in outdoor PE and other activities, continuing with academic subjects online. They are currently in danger of falling by the wayside, staying in bed all day and mental health suffering as a result. My 15 year old needs the motivation of being with others.
Pupils could eat in school or bring a packed lunch and should not be allowed out to shops for meals/snacks.
I suggest no contact with other schools - football matches etc until things improve.

Why the contribution is important
Mental health of teenagers is important and for some, the social interaction of school is essential to their well-being,
It’s also important to recognise the difference between communities and situations: ours is remote with a sparse population and it would be possible to avoid contact with other communities and towns.
