Loch/reservoir fishing

Angling by it's very nature lends itself to social distancing. Opening up fishing comes at little cost in terms of disease transmission and has a huge positive effect in terms of the overall welfare - particularly mental.

Why the contribution is important

It is important because it would benefit the many anglers in this country as outlined in my ideas above. We need some positives in this surreal world we live in and the Scottish Government should trust it's citizens. After all we have heard Ministers and senior officials praise highly the fortitude and determination of the people, so it is time now to trust them.

I would add river fishing to this proposal and echo particularly the importance of this pastime for the mental health of many people, particularly older men. All anglers care for the natural environment and benefit hugely from being outdoors, enjoying this solitary, peaceful and safe activity.

Nope, unnecessary travel. No real exercise involved. These are niceties, not neccessities.
