Lockdown going forward

No one knows when travel restrictions and social gathering restrictions will end but end they surely will. We need to be planning now for a phased return to some semblance of normality. Businesses and commerce need re-established in a safe sustainable manor as do education and health services. My suggestion would be for public sector and larger private sector employers to be given access to approved in house testing for those people who meet the appropriate criteria. If those tested prove negative or have immunity having had Corvid-19 then they should be allowed under strict social distancing measures return to work or education, as long as they are not living with or caring for someone at risk.
Those who are at higher risk, and I include myself as one, should be kept under restrictions until a feasibke effective treatment or vacine is available to them. I realise that mass vacination is still a long way off but effective treatment might be closer at hand.
I would also have designated hospitals for non Covid-19 illnesses the wat some hospitals no longer have a&e facilities.
I'd offer to defer business rates to be paid back over an agreed time period to help businesses stay afloat and protect jobs.
I would introduce emergency law on drivers hours to help with the supply chain and keep shelves full but again hours used would be need to be repaid by taking extra days off . This would best be decided by the RHA and the Dept of Transport to ensure both driver and public safety

Why the contribution is important

We ALL need to realise this is a serious situation and while we are being asked to make sacrifices they are for the common good and will not be forever.

We must move forward with new travel restrictions especially public transport (another reason for cycle paths/routes). We do need to have more buses with less passengers/trains the same.
I agree that Covid patients should be sent to one area and that hospitals should open to a normal routine without fear of covid within.

We must remove the fear and install rationale. This can only be done by easing the lockdown whilst protecting those vulnerable.
A risk based approach should tell us that social distancing is working well in retail and would work even better if there was a resumption of normal operating hours- shorter hours concentrates volume.
Reopening of Sports activities like golf courses and the countryside where the risk is minimal if guidance is produced and followed. Allowing families to meet will help to reduce fear building confidence in a return to a sustainable way of life.

Definately not good idea. Don’t think any restrictions should be eased. Far too early. Deaths are still rising
