Lockdown Scotland

From the figures, we seem to be performing better than most of our neighbours. As they start to consider easing lockdown, our risk therefore increases. We should lock down all borders, ports, airports and railways until we have complete control of infection within our own Scottish bubble. There would be some limited inbound movement but this would be subject to 14 days quarantine in a government facility such as one of the many empty hotels. It may be that we can release parts of our country quite quickly if we know there is no new infection coming from elsewhere.

Why the contribution is important

Faster disease control. Protection of lives.

You need to look at the news more clearly. The rest of the uk needs protecting from us. We have worse rates of infections than other uk nations.

I think this is a great idea, but obviously there still needs to be some come and go for essential workers and trade between the different countries. Anyone not travelling for essential business should be sent back.
