Lockdown

We know by the figures that the Lockdown is working
Why on earth would we consider the possibility of easing restrictions when we slowly getting to the point of recovery no matter how much pressure being put on the Scottish Government by opposition parties and major businesses they can't sell out the people of Scotland who have listened and complied time does not matter Health matters not wealth

Why the contribution is important

It's important to every individual in Scotland we have listened to the Government now it's for the Government to listen to it's people
No matter what we must have the Health of everyone before the Wealth of some

i disagree dependent on the Government telling us how much worse interim stages would be, e.g. Remove the lockdown but leave the obligation to socially distance, use good hygiene and force business to use safe working practices. Your comment seems to imply that the only option is lockdown or the old normal with nothing in between.

I agree with Robertson. There are too many health issues, societal and economic concerns on the other side of the equation now.
There may not be a vaccine for 12/18 months; there may NOT be a vaccine at all.
We cannot continue to live in lockdown indefinitely. We are going to have to find ways to live alongside this virus for the foreseeable future.
Children and younger people are paying a very heavy price in many different ways. People with other serious health conditions are not receiving the try they need. 50,000 potential cancer deaths as a result of the lockdown. 2 million vulnerable children not seen in 6 weeks. Domestic violence and murder rates of women and children have doubled.

I disagree with your assessment. We should consider balancing all aspects of peoples life not just health. Mental health and financial health is just as important. The people most at risk should be getting the protection and help (most vulnerable Covid citizens are in care homes not NHS hospitals), yet the Scottish government has prioritised hospitals and ignored care homes , which is why we are seeing deaths in care homes exceed hospitals! In years to come the impact of Covid will be remembered for the impact on the economy, unemployment and mental health not for the number of extra deaths (we haven't even reached the number of deaths for a bad flu season and we dont lockdown the country for flu)
