Make a decision now on holiday travel

I would like the government to end all travel to foreign countries this year, then people can re book or take their money back and use on other essential items.

Why the contribution is important

We can't afford to let people travel to and from other countries, what is to say that other governments have been recording stats properly.
I wouldn't want to be one of the first going to another country when lock downs are lifted.

    I think it would be a good idea as soon as possible to give people a rough date when travel will be locked down till so they could get refunds etc in progress as many people are struggling money wise and could do with there money back

    Advising against travel / foreign travel for the next 1 or 2 or 3 months would at least give people a bit of certainty. The advice could be extended, but would means that people who've got a holiday planned & deposit paid could get a refund, know for certain that their plans are cancelled.

    Something similar for events: large events cannot happen for at least 3 months, small events cannot happen for at least 1 month.

    Uncertainty is stressful.

    Think we need clear direction on going abroad, agree with comments already made and if there's a clear date on when this in force to it should help with refunds / rebooks. Can't believe why last week could allow Whizzair to be flying out of the UK with families away to visit their families! Yet we are still on lockdown here - any travel from UK airports should be for absolutely essential travel only for foreseeable future and same coming in to UK.
