Why the contribution is important

Getting people back to work into an environment where they feel safe, secure and protected will be a primary goal over the next few months. A no-change work environment will lead to low morale, potential increase in disease transmission and a threat to both public health and to employers...e.g. negligence claims.
Taking effective action which is seen and understood by employees will help to generate a new confidence in the workplace environment which can only have a positive effect on Scotland's economic and health prospects.

    This is the only way to ensure that employees are safe within their places of work and to ensure that employers are responsible for staff welfare
