Mass testing

It worked in Korea, can we and will we still move to mass testing, tracing and quarantining to battle the Covid19 virus please?

Why the contribution is important

People are dying and Korea and Germany are doing better in battling Covid19.

Currently not all by a staff being tested especially in non critical care settings

Testing shoukd be readiky available for everyone not just frontline workers. This would provide a more accurate picture of how many people in Scotland actually have or had covid19. An antibody test would also be helpful

Please follow the WHO advice, Test, Trace, Treat and not the pseudoscience nonsense that Boris and co have adopted.

We need to massively scale up our testing else just we're fighting an invisible enemy and by the time the deaths take off again it's all too late.

    Listen to the WHO

Would agree, that testing is the key to direct resources. I note that the previous +1 CMO Dr Harry Burns has become an advocate of increasing population screening to the whole population. To do this the gov should assimilate the results centrally but the tests organised locally. After all we have well established COUNCIL, HEALTH SERVICES, GP SURGERIES that know their at risk areas.
It would require groups to do the swabs, transport them to the labs, to input the records but at this time I think there would no shortage of volunteers. Then at least we would have some data to direct resources at.
