Meeting Close friends and family

I live away from my partner, so would be good to get the opportunity to see again, as well as close friends and family who are not in the same household

Why the contribution is important

For mental health purposes and to keep spirits up during an uncertain time

This is a good idea but in a carefully managed way

We are desperate to see our first grandchild who was born on 23 March. We have not been able to see him. We self isolated ourselves a week before he was born and have never left the village or met up with anyone since. My daughter and son in law have also self isolated so we are no danger to each other. We wish to drive 50 miles to their house without stopping and go straight into their house, thus not meeting up with anyone else.
We thought the idea of the family bubble was a great idea.

Partners and families or close friends should be allowed to meet even if they are not in the same household. Numbers should be restricted but the current situation feels so restrictive that people will just break the rules as time goes on.
