Being allowed to spend time with my immediate family even if this was outdoors. We normally look after our 3 year old grandson one day a week and the sudden loss of physical contact has hit me more than anything else. We are also awaiting the imminent birth of another grandchild and would love to meet him/her in person rather than through a plate glass window.

Why the contribution is important

I worry about the effect this lockdown is having on the mental health of children. We have no idea how this lack of socialisation is affecting children who are too young to vocalise their fears. The family unit is so important to young and old and it would be good to be able to look forward to resuming actual contact.
