Mental Health

Why cant family members with mental health be allowed to visit each other due to suicide risks being on their own for all this time.
If all households have no signs or symptoms why cant they visit each other?
This could limit the risk of suicide and allow family to make sure each other are okay.
As we all know the mental health care out this is non existent. I personally had to go through 18 months of fighting to be heard for my family member, was forced to go to the Ombudsman, who upheld the complaint, which then and only then was that person looked at seriously.
What is put in place now to make sure this will not happen again.

Why the contribution is important

It could reduce suicide levels in young men.

I'm sorry you had to fight so much for your family member. Your totally correct. I have a friend who lives on her own, has suspected ptss and bi polar. She has been seeking help for 2 years and currently receives no support from psychiatric services or psychologist. She is isolating on her own and is struggling badly. Mental health illnesses are the forgotten illnesses.

It is a major issue which this government while point scoring have not bothered to address ! Their answer hammer in all the ads to stay at home ! Of course you should be able to support a person with difficulties !
