META: Can posts please be deleted, or hidden, rather than simply locked?

Please either remove these posts, or introduce an option to hide them.

The forum is already becoming cluttered with duplicate ideas, which are locked by moderators yet left in full view and causing a difficult reading experience whereby we click into numerous front page threads only to discover they're inactive.

It makes interacting with the forum frustrating and off-putting.
