Minimum Spend Limit in Supermarkets
Introduce a minimum spend limit (nothing too drastic, say £10) in supermarkets and convenience stores.
Why the contribution is important
There are still many people making non essential purchases, I've had people come through my till with nothing but a couple of birthday cards or a single bar of chocolate, this is hardly an essentials shop. A minimum spend limit would encourage the population to plan ahead and make fewer journeys to the shops and deter people shopping for frivolous reasons.
