Monday Tuesday/ Thursday Friday

Lengthen school hours a bit. LHave half pupils in Monday and Tuesday and other half Thursday and Friday for example. Teachers in Wednesday am for mccrone prep and allow for deep clean for new set of pupils. Would mean mccrone agreement fulfilled but would reduce the amount of teachers that had contact with each child. Obviously would need to be negotiations around part time staff and fine details sorted out but would allowed a little continuity for the children and time to clean and prepare for new set of pupils. Delay the start of new primary ones and allow children to return to their last teacher to allow time to prepare the children for transition to new stage and possibly new teacher.

My concern is the welfare of the children. Mentally, academically and physically. Social interaction is so important and nurturing small children when they start school is vital to making them happy, safe and secure this allowing them to learn. I have huge concerns that young children learn through play and if the same children were in the school for two days with the same person then the resources could be cleaned properly. It would be a small measure to help with the nurturing aspect of young children.
