New Industry

Sadly covid will have accelerated the trajectory of certain industry and will not survive, even with stimulous.

Whilst not particularly something you’d want to see as a priority there are clear industries that will be needed from now on.

Manufacturing and warehousing etc. Even with a future vaccine the retail industry was already moving to online shopping etc

The UK which has become largely a service industry will likely be massively impacted. Should we now be investing in, and offering incentives for these future companies to be placed in Scotland, also working from home for a lot of companies will become the norm which might open up some key real estate for businesses that need central locations

Why the contribution is important

Whilst this might seem distasteful due to covid deaths etc. It’s likely the world has changed in the back of this and we need to look to the future and how we can mitigate the incoming redundancy that will hit us

To be clear, this country needs to be much more self-sufficient. Food, clothing, manufacturing in general: we shouldn't be so reliant on the rest of the globe to feed and cloth us.
