New schooling

Why do we make children go to school for 6 hours a day ?
I would like to see children only going to school for half that time .
Having a mix of online content and hands on teaching ...
That could halve class sizes with current classes being split into a morning or afternoon group .
I would like there to be two teachers for each split class .while one is teaching in real time the other could be doing prep , marking , paperwork in the school within office hours not ever having to take work home . They then switch at lunchtime .

I would also like that every child when they start school would be given a basic tablet so that they could do all their work on it . Think of the possibilities that could open up ....tailored teaching to the individual child . Learning to their strengths and abilities .
Oh and ban homework ...why is this still necessary ?

Full time employment for more teachers
Better teaching ratio
Increased education for kids
More individuality encouraged
