No more overcrowding on trains

I have always found it ridiculous and dangerous that you can be packed on to a passenger train to stand for often hours with no seatbelt no easy access to toilet facilities, no food or drinks available while paying a premium for this experience.
We need to wear seatbelts on most other forms of transport and safety is always a priority.
How can we be safe standing on a packed train? In the event of a crash or derailment, there would be dozens more deaths than if people had seats.
Train companies need to stop being greedy and packing us on. As lockdown eases we simply can't travel this way.

Why the contribution is important

It's important for our safety ultimately. To keep social distancing now and to keep us from having unpleasant travel experiences by being treated like cattle

Less roads, less cars, have more public transport but better spacing between seats/ people. This equals more equality between income levels and better for nature and the planet and future!

Four day working week and lower capital costs
Balanced with time to be healthy and time to make food or crafts as well.
Commute isn’t what cars and trains were invented for! These vehicles are for fun and transporting heavy goods. A day out by car or train should be a luxury not a chore. How did we get lulled into losing these dreams?

This is a nice idea but not unfortunately a practical one. The fewer people you have on each train, the higher the ticket cost will be, and they are already too high!
