Open Fisheries

Fisheries could open as social distancing already exist with fly fishing and numbers could be easily controlled. Perhaps different days for people to attend would be a fair way with no one going more than once a week if numbers are too busy.

Why the contribution is important

Fishing is an outdoor activity that is enjoyed by large numbers of people. It is very good for mental health and reduces stress levels too.

I think fishing could easily be reopened as social distancing almost a necessity

I agree fisheries could easily be allowed to open as social distancing can easily be implemented. Fishing is the largest participatory sport in Scotland (more so than golf) and for many it’s a way of relaxing and getting away from all that’s going on. What I am talking about here is being able to fish for a day locally. No long distance travel or overnights potentially putting rural communities at risk.
It would be great for fishers and allow some small businesses to recover.
