Open spaces for play

So much space in the country is for the benefit of those with wealth rather than those with needs. Grouse moors, golf courses, private school playing fields etc are spaces off limits to most people. Given the need for social distancing when outside, children especially need access to more and bigger spaces to play as they cannot meet in groups.

Why the contribution is important

The need to be outside, engaging with nature, playing has been highlighted during this crisis. Scotlands health stats especially for working class communities remains poor. Access to Scotland's outdoor spaces can be expensive and unwelcoming. We need better access to that which is already there, greater community and public ownership of land and more local parks created.
